SPARKS ABA has opened a Learning Center at 3022 Williams Drive in Fairfax, offering center-based autism therapy, on-site diagnostics and a school readiness program with no current waitlist.
The center serves children and adolescents ages 2 to 18 with applied behavior analysis therapy, speech therapy and occupational therapy. It also provides in-home ABA therapy and offers flexible hours, including after-school and evening appointments, according to an InsideNova report.
School readiness before FCPS kindergarten
The center's Launchpad Learning Program focuses on children with autism ages 3 to 6 who are moving from one-on-one therapy toward a group setting before entering a traditional school environment. Half the day involves group activities with one staff member for every three children; the other half focuses on individual instruction addressing personal growth areas.
“We’re honored to be part of this community and grateful to offer life-changing services right here in Fairfax,” Kayla Bagnato, regional clinical director for SPARKS, said in a news release. “We deeply value the partnerships we’ve built with local healthcare providers, human services, schools and government. Together, we’re working to create a more inclusive, empowered community for families of children with autism.”
SPARKS describes the program as a bridge between private ABA therapy and school entry. FCPS operates its own ABA program supporting students with autism, but the Launchpad program targets the pre-kindergarten transition specifically.
The center operates year-round, a relevant detail for families navigating gaps in services during FCPS summer breaks.
Location and enrollment
The Fairfax location is the nearest SPARKS ABA center to the Oakton and Madison school pyramids, served by Oakton High School and James Madison High School.
The Central Fairfax Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon-cutting at the center on Thursday, June 5. Kayla Bagnato, regional clinical director for SPARKS ABA, leads the Fairfax team alongside managing behavior analyst Aleksandra Terekhova.
SPARKS ABA is part of LEARN Behavioral, which operates more than 100 learning centers nationally, according to the company. SPARKS also runs locations in Manassas, Springfield, and Woodbridge.
