Evelyn Rose on Church Street NW has collected three regional best-restaurant honors since opening in Vienna in June 2024.

Washington Post critic Tom Sietsema named the restaurant one of the D.C. area's 20 best new restaurants in May 2025, praising the kitchen's ability to elevate humble ingredients, according to a TysonsToday profile. Northern Virginia Magazine followed in October 2025, placing Evelyn Rose on its 50 Best Restaurants list and later including it among the top restaurants in Vienna and among the 19 best American restaurants in Northern Virginia. Resy added the restaurant to its D.C. Hit List in April 2026.

Owner Sam Schnoebelen and chef Nick Palermo are longtime friends who both spent years at Clarity, the fine-dining restaurant a few blocks away on Church Street. Schnoebelen ran front-of-house at Clarity. Palermo ran the kitchen. When the 111 Church Street NW space that previously housed Bazin's on Church opened up in early 2024, the pair launched their own venture.

Northern Virginia Magazine's 50 Best listing rates Evelyn Rose as Modern American at the $$$ level, with entrees in the $26 to $40 range. The magazine recommended the roasted baby beet salad, grilled sweet corn and whole-milk ricotta cavatelli. A TysonsToday profile published Aug. 31 described a seasonally driven menu that includes a deconstructed French onion soup with onion rings, beef-shank ragu and comté cheese, a ribeye burger ground in-house with smoked-beef-fat aioli on a housemade brioche bun, and hand-rolled spinach ricotta cavatelli with meatballs in tomato gravy.

The dining room features exposed-beam rafters and an open kitchen. Servers bring still or sparkling water before guests open the menu, according to TysonsToday, and a bread basket of housemade rosemary focaccia follows within minutes.

Northern Virginia Magazine critic Alice Levitt first reviewed the restaurant in September 2024 under the headline "Vienna's Evelyn Rose Is Changing Things Up." The restaurant holds a 4.5-out-of-5 rating on Tripadvisor, according to TysonsToday.

Evelyn Rose also offers a tasting menu and hosts private events with seating for up to 40 and standing receptions for up to 65. Reservations are available at evelynrosevienna.com.
