Three friends turned a shared love of fusion drinks and pastries into a pop-up coffee shop now serving Vienna's Saturday farmers market through Oct. 31.

Whisked Away Cafe, an Indian- and Korean-inspired pop-up with no brick-and-mortar location, is vending at the Vienna Optimist Farmers Market every Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon through Oct. 31, Northern Virginia Magazine reported. The market operates in the Vienna Community Center parking lot at 120 Cherry Street SE.

Co-owners Lahari Bucchammolla, Emil Bissoondharry and Ara Lee launched the venture in spring 2026. Lee described it to Northern Virginia Magazine as a passion project among friends whose shared hobby of making drinks and pastries for loved ones grew into a business.

The menu blends Indian and Korean flavors with familiar café staples. Drinks include a sea salt Vietnamese iced coffee, a chai matcha and a mango lassi matcha. The food menu includes a brown butter cardamom carrot cake tres leches. Items rotate with the seasons.

Lee said the trio wants to go beyond viral food trends. "We long to expand peoples' tastebuds and increase exposure to our favorite flavors … by paying homage to the flavors we know and love," she told the magazine.

The pop-up has been appearing at festivals and farmers markets across the region since spring. Beyond Vienna, Whisked Away is scheduled for Clarendon Day on Saturday, Sept. 26, and the Loudoun Fall Festival on Sunday, Oct. 11. Location updates are posted on Instagram at @whisked.away.cafe.

The Vienna Farmers Market is organized by the volunteer-run Optimist Club of Greater Vienna. FFXnow has described it as the only farmers market in Fairfax County run by a nonprofit rather than a local government or for-profit group. The market runs every Saturday through October, with fruit and vegetable vendors, food stalls and live music.
