Hunter Mill District Supervisor Walter Alcorn will hold a free, open-forum Summer Town Hall on Monday at 7 p.m. in the Lecture Hall at Vienna Town Hall, 127 Center St.

No registration is required. Residents from Vienna, Reston, Oakton and surrounding areas can raise questions on any local issue, according to the district's website and a post on the Hunter Mill Facebook page.

Among active issues listed on the Hunter Mill District website: the county's solid waste fund, bond referendums, land use cases and resources for federal workers. Alcorn also voted against the Fairfax County FY2026 budget markup, though the full text of his statement has not been independently reviewed.

The Jim Scott Community Center in Reston is open as a 24-hour cooling center, per the district website.
