A man was stabbed inside a home in the Woodley area Monday, Sept. 7, after an argument with family members. Police took a woman and a teenager into custody.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, Fairfax County Police said on X. The department described the incident as a domestic-related stabbing at a residence on the 7000 block of Parkwood Court.

Officers found the man suffering from stab wounds when they arrived. The department's preliminary investigation determined the stabbing followed an argument among family members inside the home, WUSA9 reported.

Sources differed on whether the woman and teenager were formally arrested or detained. WUSA9 described them as arrested, while WJLA reported they were detained. No charges had been announced as of Monday.

Police have not identified the victim or disclosed the relationship between the man and the two people taken into custody. An update on the victim's condition was not available as of Tuesday, Sept. 8.
